Please note: The majority of the overseas and one year programs are specifically geared towards overseas students who will be returning to a university abroad and who are likely to receive credit for their studies in Israel.  Although the programs are open to students who plan on remaining in Israel and continuing studies here, it is not advised to apply to these programs but instead to apply to Mechinot (see above) or regular Israeli university programs.  Students will then be entitled, as new immigrants, to financial assistance from the Student Authority.   In addition, the programs are geared more particularly to their academic as well as absorption needs.
